Malaria

Malaria effects 600 million people a year worldwide.

Malaria is an infectious parasite disease occurring mostly in tropical areas, and transmitted by the female Anopheles mosquito. While the battle against Malaria is being contained in developed countries, where little or no action is taken to combat the disease.

The spread of Malaria is of major concern , as most drugs used to prevent and combat it are slowly becoming less effective as the disease grows more resistant to them. At present various Malaria vaccines are being developed, some with promising results. However, there is still a lot of work and testing to be done before we may see the possible eradication of this often deadly disease. However, there is still a lot of work and testing to be done before we may see the possible eradication of this often deadly disease.
